- Travel Plus published by India Today

Our tours are combination of walking and cycle rickshaw (Pedi cab) ride to make a comfortable experience at Old Delhi. Delhi is all about its heritage, culture, traditions and culinary experience.
We recommend our guests to see Delhi not just as a sightseeing tour or sitting simply on a cycle rickshaw / Pedi cab or in a taxi BUT see it through our eyes to experience the city on the whole ( off the beaten path), with its past and present, with its beliefs and its culture that co-exist.

Our walks give a taste of the city and make you sink in the frenzy of its colours, vivacity and irresistible charm. Your senses come alive as you will encounter the many captivating sights and sounds this amazing city has. It indulges you in its artistic enticing food to refresh, rejuvenate your mind, body & soul as it satisfies one's cravings. This also gives an insight to Indian heritage, culture, traditions and Culinary Experience.

Disengage yourself from the rest of the world and walk the streets of Shahjanabad / Chandni Chowk with us, the passionate local family from the Old City of Delhi. Experience the city, being a part of the traditional culture and history of the amazing Old Delhi, understanding it while you walk the bazaars. It would be a different experience being with the local people, who are born and brought up in this part of the city. As a part of our passion, our friendly tours are personally conducted by ourselves (which we call Labour Of Love) and not by the hired people and at the end we will take you for an authentic and unique experience.

Our tours are lead by myself, Ms. Anju Varma or by Raj Dhar only as we all are passionate native Indian friends, who love to share our passion and love for our city, people and beautiful country.

About Delhi

Delhi has been continuously inhabited since the 6th century BC. Through most of its history, Delhi has served as a capital of various kingdoms and empires. It has been captured, ransacked and rebuilt several times, particularly during the medieval period, and the modern Delhi is a cluster of a number of cities spread across the metropolitan region. This is why Delhi is sometimes called the City of cities.

Delhi was the site of ancient Indraprastha, the mythical capital of the Pandavas during the Mahabharata. In AD 1639, the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan (1592-1666) built a new walled city named Shahjahanabad, in Delhi on the banks of holy River Yamuna, which served as the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1649 until the Rebellion of 1857.

Shahjahanabad today is majorly known in the remembrance of Emperor’s beloved daughter Jahanara as Chandni Chowk or Old Delhi. The greater part of Old Delhi is still confined within the space of Shah Jahan’s walls, and several gates built during his rule—the Kashmiri Gate, the Delhi Gate, the Turkman Gate, and the Ajmeri Gate—still stand. It had magnificent palaces known as Red Fort, impressive mansions, enchanting bazaars, elegant shrines, royal gardens and fountains at every corner to romance ones' senses.

Following is the brief for the experience:

Our patrons will be met at the designated Metro Station "Chawri Bazar", where. you will start exploring the galis of Shahjahanabad, the capital city built by Emperor Shah Jahan (1628-1658) and from where Pandit JAWAHARLAL NEHRU, the first Prime Minister of Independent India got married. Our discoveries while wandering the streets inspires you to feel more hungry that we call flavour of Delhi.

Old Delhi Bazaars are colorful and have interesting street food. The area is also home to several small temples, shrines, old mosque, Old Havelis(an Old Private Mansion in the old city in which single family is living from generations) and protected monument sights.
